FSM Favorite : Pete Philly

Since 2005, Pete Philly was part of a succesful hiphop/jazz/soul duo from the Netherlands called Pete Philly and Perquisite.
With two studio albums, a remix album and a live album released in three and a half years, October 29th marked the date of their last gig as a duo before going their separate ways.
Composer Perquisite’s released his debut album in 2010 with Pete Philly following with his in October 2011.

The video below is for the title track of that debut album and gives a fine example of what Pete’s all about.

Pete Philly is playing two sessions during the Great Escape festival in Brighton. If you don’t have tickets to go to the Great Escape in Brighton, you should really head over to the Jazz Café in London on May 10th for an amazing gig by one of Holland’s most talented artist.
