FSM Favorite : Kindness

The perks of moving away and not being employed (for the meantime) is spending copious amounts of time on the internet and coming across some great music. Case in point is London-Berlin musician, Adam Bainbridge a.k.a Kindness, whose funky, bass-induced, haunting (think Prince meets Washed Out – does this weird mix of adjectives make you curious enough?) songs have been gracing my playlists lately.

Much like his songs, the video for Houseis anything but conventional. Set in a semi-documentary mode, the wonderfully coiffed singer spend the first half of the video disseminating the state of Pop Music whilst the other has Bainbridge teaching a kid how House is put together; they play the drum machine, dance and, perhaps my favourite part, sing along to the track reciting “You oughta love someone”.  It’s a simple, playful, unique and charming video.

Kindness’ debut album “World, You Need a Change of Mind” is set for a June 18 release. He will be joining the equally amazing, Tom Vek and Aussie Jonathan Boulet next week in Australia and another schlew of dates back in Europe. Check him out and bring a little Kindness into your life…

You can pre-order Kindness’ debut album on Amazon and iTunes.
