First Aid Kit – Debaser Stockholm, February 4th 2012

After having seen First Aid Kit live a year and a half ago at Popaganda festival their star has risen worldwide. They have been on a tour around the world and since I am living in Stockholm it is cool to bump into them in the city sometimes.

It was freezing cold outside, sadly Johanna was not feeling good enough to sing, so Klara had to stand up and sing on her own. She was very well up to the challenge and proved that only her voice is already good enough to compete with all the big names from now and the big classics like an Emmylou Harris to whom their latest hit Emmylou is an homage. Klara’s pure voice, good music and the atmosphere of them playing at “home” just gave goosebumps, and not just once.

One of the best moments was an acoustic moment in which Klara with only her guitar and her voice asked the audience to sing along and created a magical atmosphere. All together it was a warm (2 sold out shows in Debaser Medis on the same day) and very cozy afternoon together with First Aid Kit.

If you want to check out how their album sounds, check out iTunes or Amazon.
